Project and Business Development
We develop and work with companies to identify and develop energy, climate tech and low carbon solutions including hydrogen, nuclear, energy efficiency, carbon capture, LNG and technology and software solutions. We take an integrated approach to maximize project and company value, including identifying and evaluating development opportunities, due diligence, structuring teams, regulatory, engineering design, EPC and construction, commercial strategy, and financing and capital raises.
Our team has deep development experience, most notably successfully permitting Downeast LNG, the only LNG regasification terminal successfully permitted of the over 20 greenfield LNG import terminals proposed in the east coast of the US.
Hydrogen
We are working with existing facilities producing waste hydrogen to capture and treat the hydrogen to meet the growing demand for hydrogen fuel cells. We are also working with hydrogen equipment vendors and EPCs to develop green and traditional hydrogen projects to meet the growing demand for green and blue hydrogen.
Renewables
We develop renewable projects and advises clients on the development of projects in solar, wind and Renewable Natural Gas (RNG). We are currently several RNG projects in North America.
Energy Technology
OPC is consistently evaluating emerging technologies and their disruptive power within the energy sector. We actively advise on investment in energy technology companies in collaboration with angel networks and venture capital funds.
Nuclear
Through our subsidiary, Company-U, we are actively pursuing the development of nuclear power facilities in the US. We are focused on sites that have existing licensing authorizations (COLs) and we favor proven technology with a recent licensing and operating history in the US, specifically Westinghouse's AP1000 design.
